BRING IN THE RAIN

Bring in the Rain was one of the coolest songs to produce.

One of my favourite parts of recording this song was having my older brother Ben in the studio with me.

I was super inspired by Fleetwood Mac and Daisy Jones and the six when making this song, and whilst I do play guitar, my brother is really good at playing the more ‘rock’ style riffs. All of the riffs and the epic guitar solo in this song were written and played by him in the recording!

This song also showcased my first ever high note with the ‘oh woah woahhhh’, which for some reason I was super nervous about recording. I’m totally in love with high notes now, and it’s been really cool to see how easy I find it to hit that note after all of the practice I’ve done.

In the music video for this song I hid some teasers for other unreleased songs and lyrics on the big whiteboard. The ‘test on Monday’ was also true to my own life because I actually had a Maths test on Monday! I considered writing those equations on the whiteboard as a bit of studying lol.

My favourite scene in this music video was the one we filmed in the big foggy, grassy field. I think the shot turned out so gorgeous. The weather was absolutely perfect.
