Playing My Guitar
I wish you guys could’ve been there in the studio with me, because Matt and I had the best time producing this song. Obviously, the song is titled ‘Playing My Guitar’ and that really lead the way for the production. I knew I wanted a pop rock song full of fun lead guitar. So I went home and I wrote the riffs and solo by myself. It was my first time writing my own lead guitar parts for a song, after having my older brother Ben do it for me in ‘Bring in the Rain’, and I was actually surprised at what I came up with. It’s got a fun, simple, pop-rock feel and love the sound we found when producing this song.
Okay, I know I said that Better Than the movies was ‘by far my favourite music video to film’ but… I absolutely LOVE how this music video turned out. We filmed in a local record store Hiss & Crackle Records, and not only were the walls covered in posters of all these epic bands, but there was a stage too. I really wanted this music video to have a 90’s rom com feel to it.
My personal favourite part of this music video is the fact my ADORABLE little cousin was in it. It took some time of watching us filming until Molly was ready to be the star of the show, and star of the show she was. How cute was her outfit?!
